Article summary

SPOT has the ability to email you nightly, weekly, and monthly reports. This will allow you to maintain a watchful eye on your business from anywhere you can access your email.

This reporting functionality is handled by two separate SPOT utilities: SPOTQuery and Scheduled Tasks. SPOTQuery is used to build Presentation Profiles, discrete sets of individual reports. Scheduled Tasks is used to set the frequency, recipient, and activation-status of these Presentation Profiles. See the Scheduled Tasks guide for more information.

Create a Presentation Profile

Navigate to Setup > SPOTQuery.

Click Add under the Presentation Profiles column.

Name: Text name of the Presentation Profile. In this example ‘Nightly Reports’.

Account: Check the box next to the business name (recommended). You can also expand these options to allow specific workstations, users, or groups access to the SPOTQuery.
