In Delivery Connect, Service Plans are your routes. Each service plan has an assigned driver, a specific service window, a set of stops, and a number of additional settings, described in greater detail below. Learn more about getting started with Delivery Connect.

To view and manage your Service Plans, in Delivery Connect, select Service Plans from the left side panel. From the Service Plan dashboard you can view, edit, reorder, and add new Service Plans. The rows on the table show each Service Plan's number of single-customer, multi-customer, and locker stops and number of available zones.

Add a New Service Plan

To Add a new Service Plan, select New Service Plan.

  1. Assign the settings for the new Service Plan. Use these guidelines:

    • Name: Use a short name that can be identified in Delivery Connect Mobile. This field is required.

    • Description: Expand on the route name to give a full description of the service plan.

    • Driver name: Select the primary driver's name.

    • Price Table: Select the Price Table for the Service Plan.

    • Tax Entity: Select the Tax Entity for the Service Plan.

    • Alteration Tax Entity: If necessary, select the Tax Entity for alteration services for the Service Plan.

    • Promised Date Schedule: Select the appropriate Promised Date Schedule to be used when orders are created for route customers.

    • Holiday Schedule: Select the appropriate Holiday Schedule to be used when orders are created for route customers.

    • Average Stop Time in Minutes: Enter an Average Stop time, either presumed or observed, for the Stops in the Service Plan

    • Average Stop Time per Customer in Minutes: Enter an Average Stop Time per Customer in minutes, either presumed or observed, for the Stops in the Service Plan

    • Default Scan at Delivery: Select the default behavior for Delivery Connect Mobile as drivers arrive at stops. Use these guidelines

      • No Scan: Orders are processed without scanning an invoice at the stop

      • Optional Single Order: Drivers have the option to process all orders for a stop, after they have scanned one invoice.

      • Optional All Orders: Drivers have the option to scan one or more invoices for a stop and then process all other orders for the stop.

      • Required Single Order: Drivers must scan one invoice for a stop and then all orders for the stop will be processed.

      • Required All Orders: Drivers must scan all invoices for a stop.

    • Default Pickup Type: Select either Static or On-Demand as the default stop type for stops added to the Service Plan.

    • Default Delivery Type: Select either On-Demand (Ready Order) or On-Demand (Requested Visit) as the default delivery behavior for stops added to the Service Plan.

    • Exclude from Route Selection: Toggle whether this Service Plan should be excluded from the options available for Route Selection.

    • Require Image at Delivery: Toggle whether drivers will be required to capture images of bags, etc., at delivery.

    • Allow On-Demand Requests for Static Customers: Toggle whether static customers assigned to the Service Plan will be allowed to request on-demand pickup/delivery.

  2. Set the remaining settings as desired. To the right, select the days available for reminders.

  3. Select Save.

Manage Service Plans

There are many ways to manage your service plans. Choose a topic to learn more about how to manage this aspect of a Service Plan:

Edit service plan details

To edit the service plan details and the service window, use these steps:

  1. Select a Service Plan from the list of plans to see a map of the zones included.

  2. Click the pencil icon to view or edit a stops' Availability, Instructions, and Images. To add a new service window, click the + in the upper right. Use these guidelines:

    • Choose the service plan's Start and End times.

    • Choose Cutoff Time. Same-day, On Demand pickup or delivery requests attempted after this time will not be accepted. To disallow Same-Day pickups, choose the blank value from this drop down.

    • Select valid Days of Week.

    • Check the boxes under Customer, Multi-Customer, Locker, Hotel, or EndRoute to allow for pickup, delivery, or visit for these types of customers.

    • Select whether this Service Window will accept Static or On-Demand pickup and delivery requests.

    • Click Add when finished.

  3. From this map view, see the top-right corner for a list of all Zones currently associated with the Service Plan. Click Available Zones to open a list of all Zones. Use these guidelines:

    • Toggle each configured Zone on or off, respective to the selected Service Plan.

    • Checking the Subtractive box will remove a Zone from the Service Plan. This is useful when two or more Zones overlap each other.

Sort Stops

To sort the stops included in the service plan, use these guidelines:

  • Select the List View icon to see a list of the stops on the Service Plan.

  • Select the Sort Options dropdown.

    • Manual: Allows you to manually drag-and-drop stops to set order.

    • Customer Name: Automatically sort the stops, based on Last Name.

    • Optimized: Automatically sorts the stops, optimized for driving-time. Note: This function requires Route4Me.

Add stops or edit customer information

To add stops or edit customer information, use these guidelines:

  • Select the List View icon to see the list of stops on the Service Plan.

  • Search for or add Stops to the Service Plan using the buttons in the top right side.

  • Click the customer's name to edit customer information.

  • Click the pencil icon to the right of the stop to view and edit stop information, including Availability, Stop Instructions, and Images.

Return to Manage Service Plans.


Move stops

To move stop(s) from one Service Plan to another, use these steps.

  1. View your Service Plan in List View.

  2. Toggle-on manual reordering in the Sort Options .

  3. Check the box next to each stop you want to move to another Service Plan.

  4. Click and hold one of them, drag it to the desired Service Plan, and release. All selected Stops will then be assigned to the new Service Plan.
