Article summary

It's important to refine your bulkiness/slot occupancy settings to ensure your automated conveyor systems work as efficiently as possible. This setting helps to ensure that each item has enough space on the conveyor to prevent the garment getting wrinkled. Assembly conveyors and storage conveyors use these settings. For assembly conveyors, these settings control when to split an order, and for storage conveyors these settings control the amount of slots assigned to an order. In this article, we will describe how to adjust these settings.

  1. In Spot, go to Menu > Configuration > Price Change Utility, and enter your PIN.

  2. Select the desired price table.

  3. In the Slot Occupancy column, make the changes you want. Use these guidelines:

    • The default Slot Occupancy is 50 bulkiness per garment.

    • For the Assembly Conveyor, an order is split at 150 bulkiness.

    • For the Storage Conveyor, up to 100 bulkiness will take up one slot. Anything over that will have an additional slot assigned to the order.

    • Example: If sweaters are set to 75 for the slot occupancy, there would be 2 pieces split per order at assembly (75+75=150) and 2 slots assigned at storage.
