One of the first steps in using Delivery Connect is adding stops to a Service Plan. Without any stops, there essentially is no Service Plan at all! Another part of setting up stops is removing them. Some customers no longer use the service or have moved to a new address serviced by a different Service Plan. In these cases, you should know how to remove and re-add the stop to a new Service Plan. Learn more about getting started with Delivery Connect.
Choose an option to learn more:
Add a stop
In Delivery Connect, select Stop Setup in the left panel.
Add the new Stop Type. Use these guidelines:
Stop Type:There are four different types of stop types that can be added to a Service Plan:
Customer: A standard, common stop type. This is used for one specific person.
Multi-Customer: Typically used for apartments, offices, police stations, etc. These are for many customers at one specific address.
Locker: This is a specific kind of stop that involves locker banks.
Hotel: This is specific for Hotels that were once managed in Spot itself on the Delivery Tab.
Customer Name: Enter the desired customer's name
Address: This field should auto-populate with a valid address once the customer's name is typed in a step previous
Eligible Service Plans: This will contain a list of valid Service Plans for the customer based on the configured Zones. Select the desired Service Plan then select "Next"
Set availability, instructions, and images. Use these guidelines:
Availability: Determine which days the customer will be available for pickup and delivery. Some options may be already filled-out, this is due to the route defaults determined when setting up the Service Plan and Service Window. Set the Pickup Stop Type, Pickup Availability, Drop Off Stop Type, and Drop Off Availability.
Instructions: Add any customer, pickup, or drop off instructions.
Images: Add customer stop images with captions.
Customers: This tab only shows up when you have a multicustomer stop. Use the address and other details to confirm you're adding the correct customer; particularly if you have customers with similar names. Note that you can sort the list of customers by clicking either CUSTOMER or ADDRESS 2.
Select Save when finished.
Remove a stop
The process of removing a customer stop from a Service Plan on Delivery Connect is just as easy as adding a stop.
In Delivery Connect, select Service Plans on the left side.
Select the Service Plan the customer is currently on, then select the List View icon at the top-right. The List View icon looks similar to a bullet-point-based notepad
Search for the customer's name then select the trash can icon.
