In this step of the order process, you provide more information with numerous options to describe each individual garment. In this article, we will describe how to complete a Detail in both Spot and Connect.
Spot
1. Search for the customer or Quick ticket.
From the Spot home screen, click Detail or press 2 on your keyboard.
In the Lookup field, scan the quick ticket or search for the customer.
Select the Department.
Select the Category.
Select the Item. Use these guidelines based on whether or not the item has a heat seal label (HSL):
Existing HSL: Scan the HSL, then move on to the next step.
No HSL: Move forward without scanning a barcode. If an HSL is needed for the garment, an HSL or a tag will print after you complete the Detailing process.
2. Complete the Detail
Once the item is selected, you can select its specific descriptors.
On the modifier page, describe the item. Use these guidelines:
Define the garment based on color, patterns, and brand.
Identify any preexisting damage.
Assign any special charges (also known as upcharges) based on things like fabric or stains that may require special care for the garment.
Once you are satisfied with the garment description, select Next Item. Repeat the process for all items in the order.
Once the order is complete and you have verified the information, select Finish or press F12 on your keyboard.
Connect
Scan a Quick to pull up the customer’s order details.
Scan the HSL of the item you want to detail. In Connect, a HSL is required.
Add the required information for the item. You can add additional information if you want, including a photo. The required information is listed below:
Identify tab:
Select a department.
Select the category.
Select the item.
Modifiers tab:
Select a color.
Select the pattern.
Select a brand.
When the Next Item button turns green, you've added all the required information for the item, and you can move on to the next item or complete the Detail. If you have more items to detail, use the guidelines below:
If the next item is the same as the previous item, (for example, they are both white Tommy Hilfiger shirts), click the repeat switch before you scan the HSL.
If you want to split the order, click Split then scan the HSL of the item you want to put on a new order.
Repeat the detailing steps for each item on the order.
Click Finish.
The new order will also show up in Spot.
