MDC Mobile Case Study

The Problem

John Draper, owner of Draper Cleaners, is a second-generation launderer. He has built his business from the ground up over thirty years and is looking for ways the business could keep up with the times. Draper Cleaners consists of three stores and one plant, distributed across Utah's Salt Lake County. Business-growth has generally been pretty strong over the years. Recently, though, as with the much of the dry cleaning industry, growth has slowed for Draper Cleaners. In this increasingly competitive environment, i.e. competing dry cleaners chasing fewer and fewer customers' dollars, John needed to set himself apart from other chains in the area. He knew that sophisticated customers were sometimes put-off by the apparent hassle of visiting a dry-cleaner location, so he needed a more convenient way for customers to interact with his business, i.e. submit orders, request information, request pickups, and schedule drop-offs.

The Solution
